Word Macro Network Installation

Issue:

Word macro installer attempts to find templates on local drive, although templates are installed on the network.

Solution:

The Word Macro Installer looks for the template directory to add the Sign-It! macro to the normal.dot template. In Word, the installer looks in the user specified directory for User Templates (specified in Tools menu, Options, File Locations). In Word 6.0 or earlier the information is actually held in a WinWord.ini file, in Word 7.0 the information is held in the system registry.

Please try to review the setup for your Word file locations to verify that they are pointing to the correct location. If this information does not fix the problem it is possible to put a local copy of normal.dot in the local template directory, allow the Sign-It! macro installer to modify the file and then copy the file back to the network.
