Changing the Size of the
Signature
Issue:
By default Sign-It! installs with
your signature set to 36 points. The actual point size of the
signature font may vary from other regular character fonts due to
special characteristics of signatures (e.g. very large
descenders).
Solution:
Because your signature font is a
fully scalable TrueType font it can easily be scaled up or down
with no loss in quality.
- Bring up the Sign-It!
Signature Server application by double clicking on the
Sign-It! icon in the Sign-It! Program Group (Windows 3.1)
or for Windows 95 users, from the START button choose
PROGRAM, then Sign-It! Program Group, then Sign-It!
application.
- In the Sign-It! window the
most frequently used commands are available as icons in
the toolbar. Click on the wrench icon which sets up the
default properties for your signature.
- The Edit Default dialog box
appears which allows complete editing of the entire
signature block.
- Click on Signature Font
to bring up the Font Dialog box. This dialog log box
allows you to specify the point size, signature font and
color of your signature. To increase the size of your
signature choose a larger point size, usually 36-48
points for typical signatures. You may type in values
if the size is not listed. Click OK when finished.
- Once you are satisfied with
the changes to the default signature properties click on
OK to close the Edit Default dialog box. Click on the END
icon in the Signature Server to close Sign-It!
- Now whenever your signature
is inserted it will have the properties you set as
default.
To make a one time change to a
signature:
- Once a signature is inserted,
double click on the signature. The Sign-It! Signature
Server appears.
- Click on the icon with a
pencil drawing an "A". This brings up the Edit
Current Signature dialog box. This dialog box is
identical to the Edit Default. Dialog box mentioned
above, except its properties only apply to the current
signature.
- Follow the same steps as
above to make one time changes to the Signature Font.
