WordPerfect 6.X - Sign-It! Signature Printing As "A"
Symptoms:
Screen Display is correct with signature displayed. On printing, a "A" is printed instead of the signature. This will occur in mail merge also and any time you print.
Fix:
Use the Windows printer driver, not the Word Perfect for Windows version. The Windows printer driver will have a "-WIN" notation after it. Use the File/Printer/Select command to switch and make sure to QUIT WPWin after and restart it. It does not appear necessary to quit and restart Windows, at least on a Win95 machine.
NOTE:
Since Sign-It! includes a TrueType font of your signature it is always possible to use the signature font directly rather than through the OLE mechanism. To use the font directly type an "A" in the document (your signature and first name are stored in the character "A" and "B"). Select the character and change the font to your signature font (e.g. the font name on your Sign-It! diskette label). At the same time increase the point size of the signature, typically 36-48 points is a reasonably sized signature.
Using the basic signature font itself should work with both drivers in case you have a specific need or requirement to use the Word Perfect Printer Drivers instead of the standard Windows/Win95 ones.
