The Easiest Way To Sign Documents!

Overview

Sign-It! begins with Apropos Software converting your personal signature into a smooth, scalable TrueType font. By using a TrueType font your signature scales to any size and prints (or faxes) at the maximum resolution of your printer (or fax machine). Once your signature is captured as a TrueType font, using your signature font is quick and easy with the Sign-It! Signature Server. The Sign-It! Signature Server uses the power of Microsoft's Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) technology to create, insert and provide security for your signature.

Without the Sign-It! Signature Server, the task of signing a document is awkward and cumbersome. Using just a signature font requires remembering the character(s) for the signature, selecting the text, and changing the size and family of the font, every time you need to sign a document! The Sign-It! Signature Server greatly simplifies the process by remembering all the necessary signature font information. When you need to sign a document simply use the Insert Object command in your Windows application and pick Apropos' Sign-It! and you are done. The steps to sign a document are the same for all Windows Applications (virtually all applications support OLE). Sign-It! also includes macros for popular word processing packages to further simplify the insertion of your Sign-It! signature.

The Sign-It! Signature Server also provides signature security and customizable text (e.g. name, title, company) in the Title Block. The signature security feature controls the use of the Sign-It! Signature Server via password control. Also, each Sign-It! signature embeds a security identifier which can be later verified for proper authorized use of the Sign-It! signature.

Questions and Answers

Will Sign-It! work on my computer?

Sign-It! will work on any computer that supports Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me, Window NT 4.0, or Windows 2000/XP. Sign-It! requires less than 2MB of hard disk space.

What software applications will work with Sign-It!

Virtually all applications will work with Sign-It!. For the greatest ease and benefit Sign-It! works best with applications that support Microsoft's Object Linking and Embedding (OLE). Nearly all word processing, spreadsheet and graphics programs support OLE (e.g. MS Word, MS Works, WordPerfect For Windows, AmiPro, MS Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, CorelDraw, etc.). For the rare non-OLE applications, Sign-It! can also be used with the Windows Cut and Paste operation or by selecting the signature font directly.

What are the advantages to using a TrueType signature font instead of a scanned signature?

Besides the very important high quality and scalability benefits of using a TrueType signature font, a TrueType signature prints faster and is more compact than a scanned signature. Scanned signatures are fixed at a specific resolution (e.g. 200 dpi) and typically occupy 100KB. The large size of scanned signatures takes longer to print and causes the file size of each document with your signature to grow by at least the size of the scanned signature (e.g. 100KB). TrueType signature fonts are very compact (typically less than 5KB), resulting in faster printing and compact documents.

Can I fax my order form and signature to you to save time?

No. Unfortunately the quality of a faxed signature is not good enough to produce a high quality TrueType signature font.

Why do you need a font name on the order form?

Your personal signature font is stored in its own font file. The name you specify will be the file name for the font and the font name that appears in the Windows font menu.

How long does it take to receive Sign-It! with my personalized signature font?

Typically, most orders are processed within a few business days. Normal shipping is via first class US mail. If you require overnight delivery please call for special shipping requirements.
