began their technical partnership in 1990 with Elite High Technology, Inc., an
early developer of multifunctional office products and technologies. In 1995,
the principals formed Apropos Software to offer highly skilled, full service
software development services.
Principals
Kelvin Ishigo
Kelvin
Ishigo has been integrally involved in the software industry for over 20 years.
He has served in the capacities of chief engineer/architect, project
lead, and group manager for leading edge corporations of all sizes from large
multinationals (Xerox Corporation), to leading edge technology firms (Symbolics,
Inc.), to small dynamic product oriented firms.
His range of expertise includes color printing systems development,
product oriented embedded systems, Windows software products, host based
printing systems/drivers and research oriented design automation systems. His
current areas of involvement include UNIX (SUN), and Microsoft’s Windows
product development projects.
Mr.
Ishigo has received an M.S. in Computer Science from UCLA as well as a B.A. in
Quantitative Psychology from UCLA with honors. In addition, Mr. Ishigo holds
several U.S. Patents in the area of desktop laser printing.
Gordon Chen
Gordon
Chen has held senior product development and marketing positions at leading high technology
companies for over 20 years. He has been responsible for a wide range of successful product
launches, including, high resolution laser printers, continuous-tone color
printers, desktop computer systems, and multifunctional office products. He
begin his career at Xerox Corporation as a software engineer developing advanced
computer graphics and computer aided design tools. Throughout his career, he has
continued to utilize both his business and technical skills to bring
cutting-edge products to market.
Mr.
Chen has received a Masters in Business Administration and a B.S. in
Math/Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Chen
is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the ACM’s Special Interest Group - Computer
Graphics.
